JONESBORO, Ark. (AP) - Police in Jonesboro say two men suspected of shooting a teenage boy to death and wounding three other people have surrendered to authorities.
Sgt. Lyle Waterworth of the Jonesboro Police Department says 19-year-old Flando Cortez Edward Montgomery surrendered Saturday afternoon after detectives identified him as a suspect. Waterworth says the second suspect, 21-year-old Tarus Bedford, surrendered about 8:15 p.m. Saturday.
Waterworth says the suspects are accused in Wednesday's fatal shooting of 16-year-old Malcolm Jemison. Three other men were wounded in the shooting.
Jonesboro police found four people with gunshot wounds inside a residence on the city's southeastern side. Waterworth says all four were taken to hospitals, where Jemison died.
Waterworth says the two suspects allegedly entered the house and began shooting. Authorities have not released a motive in the shooting.
